The holiday season is here! Exchanging gifts has been an essential part of this wonderful time of the year, and the Russian Cultural Center once again is offering unique ethnic souvenirs and gifts that are hard to find anywhere else. Whether you’d like to pick up something for yourself or locate a gift for a loved one, you’re sure to find something new and exciting at the Russian Winter Bazaar this Friday, December 27th.
The Russian Cultural Center’s Winter Bazaar offers tons of gifts – each hand-made in accordance with centuries-old Russian traditions. There are wooden figures of Father Frost and beautiful icons. A collection of traditional blue-and-white porcelain - Gzhel - has been expanded recently and includes many vintage items. Additionally, the bazaar offers colorful handmade and hand-painted wooden tableware called “Khokhloma.”
They also have several beautiful Russian tea sets by the famous porcelain factories, such as Lomonosov (Imperial) Porcelain Factory, Dulevo porcelain factory, and others. There are famous Tula samovars on display. And of course, guests will find the famous Russian nesting dolls or matryoshkas.
